COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

We collect information through the Site in the following ways:

  1. When you submit information through our online form, including but not limited to your:
    – first name;
    – last name;
    – email address;
    – phone number;
    – street adress; and
    – zip code
  2. When you contact us through a Contact Us link on the Site or via email, telephone, or mail, we will use your contact information and/or other information you provide in order to respond to your inquiry.
  3. We collect information through cookies and other tracking tools, which are explained in more detail below.
  4. We collect information through our web server applications. This information includes your location, Internet Protocol or “IP” address, date/time stamp, browser type, user agent, and referring URL.
  5. We may use pixel tracking technology to track the completion of transactions with us or our advertisers, the source information for those transactions, and your IP address, date/time stamp, browser type, user agent, and referring URL.

Tracking Signals

We do not monitor or respond to web browser “do not track” (“DNT”) signals or other mechanisms that provide consumers the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across third party websites or online services.

Other parties are not permitted to collect personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across different websites when they visit the Site.

Cookies and Tracking Tools

The Site uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit the Site. Individual services of a website can “recognize” you or your device in this way and “remember” what configurations you have made.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. You may delete cookies stored in your browser at any time. Information stored in such cookies will be removed from your device. You may also alter the security settings of your web browser to stop your device from receiving and storing cookies, to allow receiving and storing cookies from selected websites only, or to be notified before receiving cookies. Please note, however, that these settings may have negative effects on the usability and user guidance of websites and other online services. You can find out more information about how to change your browser cookie settings at www.allaboutcookies.org.  Alternatively, you can deactivate cookies from third party providers by going to the network advertising initiative’s deactivation page: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

Google Analytics:  The Site employs Google Analytics, a web analysis tool from Google. Google Analytics uses cookies that track your preferences during your visit to the Site. This allows us to simplify navigation and make the Site more user friendly. You have the option of disabling cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers allow cookies as a default setting. Should you change this setting, this may disrupt certain functions of the Site. Additionally, to provide website visitors the ability to prevent their data from being used by Google Analytics, Google has developed the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, dc.js). If you want to opt-out, download and install the add-on for your web browser. The link to the tool is: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Additional information on the terms of use for Google Analytics is available on: https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html.  We use another service similar to Google Analytics called Mixpanel.  Detailed information regarding the privacy practices of Mixpanel is available on: https://mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy/.

Google AdWords:  As an AdWords customer, the Site uses Google conversion tracking on some pages. This means that Google Adwords places a cookie on your computer (conversion cookie) if you have accessed the Site via a Google ad. These cookies become invalid after 30 days. If you visit certain pages on the Site and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that someone has clicked on an ad and been directed to our page as a result thereof. The information collected with the help of the conversion cookie allows us to prepare conversion statistics to optimize our services. AdWords customers know, for instance, the total number of customers who have clicked on their ad and been redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. If you do not want to participate in the tracking, you can prevent the placement of the necessary cookie through a browser setting that deactivates the automatic placement of cookies in general.

Google Remarketing Technology:  The Site uses Google’s remarketing technology on some pages. With this technology, users who have already visited the Site and shown an interest in what we have to offer are shown targeted advertising on other websites of the Google partner network. The ads are displayed through the use of cookies, by means of which the user’s behavior during his or her visit to the Site is analyzed and then used for targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising. If you do not wish to receive any interest-based advertising, you can deactivate Google’s use of cookies for these purposes by going to Google Ad Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.

Please note that Google has its own privacy policy, which is independent from ours. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies and procedures. Before using the Site, please inform yourself about Google’s privacy policy:  https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-US.

Facebook Pixel:  The Site also uses the “Facebook pixel” provided by the social network Facebook. When you visit the Site, the Facebook pixel will create a direct link between your browser and the Facebook server. Thus, Facebook will receive the information from your browser that the Site was accessed from your device. If you are a Facebook user, Facebook can therefore associate your visit to the Site with your user account. Please note that we as the provider of these web pages are not notified of the content of the data transmitted or of the use thereof by Facebook. We can merely specify the segments of Facebook users (based on criteria such as age, interests) on whose pages we would like our ads to be displayed. Moreover, when this pixel is called up later on from your browser, Facebook can then determine whether an ad on Facebook was successful, for instance whether it has led to an online purchase. We receive from Facebook merely statistical data on this, without any references to a specific individual. This allows us to collect information about the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. For more information concerning this topic, please see Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/
Please click here (link https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads) if you do not wish to have your data collected via the Facebook pixel.
